Immersing herself in the bush, Australian artist Trudy Rice finds the symphony of the outdoors a tonic and abundant source of restoration and inspiration, where she captures the colours and delights of nature. Many layers create artworks that cultivate awareness, familiarity, respect and apprecation for the beauty surrounding us. With a particular emphasis on Australian gardens, bush settings and their diverse birdlife, she aims to raise awareness about environmental protection. Her works on paper use various processes with an affinity for solar plate etching, a printmaking process that perfectly aligns with her ethos of environmental protection.
